I’m business and product lead, based in the countryside of Ireland, working remotely for Automattic on WooCommerce.

I currently lead work on our Merchant Marketing Platform & Channels at WooCommerce. With 10+ years of experience across a range of leadership roles within product, design and marketing I have helped build and grow high performing teams by leveraging this cross-discipline experience to build empathy and understanding between teams, reduce silo’ing and ultimately deliver great products.

The introduction of Gutenberg in WordPress opened up a new way to use WordPress. I am currently re imagining the entire cart and checkout experience of WooCommerce for both our merchants and our merchants customers — bringing it up-to-date with current best practices while giving merchants even greater control of their stores cart and checkout.

Streamlining the extension management experience 🚄 ⚡

We brought the downloading, activation and subscription management experience for our extensions directly into our merchants WooCommerce stores – automating what was previously a very manual and laborious task.

Creating a one-click buying process for our existing customers 🛒 💳

Role: Product and Design Lead, Project Management

We simplified the buying process for existing customers on WooCommerce.com by creating a “near-as-possible” one-click buying process which removed the need for customers to leave the product page when making a purchase.

Enabling the sharing and transfer of extensions between customers 📤 📥

We designed and built a self-service system in order to allow our site builders to seamlessly transfer or share their purchases between themselves and their clients. This not only solved a customer need – it also reduced the burden on our support team.

Simplifying a complex login system to reduce signup friction 🔑 ✨

Role: Concept, Design, Research

I worked with various people across the company to concept a login system that could be used across the company to help reduce brand confusion and signup friction. This login concept is now the backbone of many projects currently underway.
